Begining of June 1999 opened the Museum bei der Kaiserpfalz in Ingelheim. Left Fig.: The former palace area about 1550 from Cosmographia by Sebastian Münster, who was born 1489 at Ingelheim. Not too far from Ingelheim in Lorsch at the Bergstrasse (near Heppenheim) is situated the Imperial Monastery Lorsch. From 23.7. - 1.11.99 takes place the exhibition 799 - Art and Culture in the Time of the Carolinguians - Charles the Great and Pope Leo III in Paderborn.
